CSIRO Mathematics, Informatics and Statistics have an exciting Post Doctoral Research Fellow position for a statistician with an interest in spatial and spatio-temporal statistics. This three year position will be based at Clayton in Melbourne, working in the Business and Services Analytics Research Program.

The Nalanda-Sriwijaya Centre of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) in Singapore, which pursues research on historical interactions among Asian societies and civilizations, is accepting applications from scholars who wish to undertake research and writing in the area of intra-Asian historical interactions during 2010. Preference will be given to scholars who have completed their Ph.D. degree within the last ten years. The fellowship will be for a period of up to six months and can be commenced any time between April and December 2010.

Postdoctoral Fellowship The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, Independent Research Group I (Dagmar Schäfer), announces a postdoctoral fellowship for up to two years, beginning 1 September 2008.

Projects from the fields of Art, Architecture, Material Culture OR Economics in Chinese history (10th to 18th Century) that involve the relationship between practical and theoretical knowledge are particularly welcome.

Outstanding junior scholars (Ph.D. awarded no earlier than 2003) are invited to apply. Fellowships are endowed with a monthly stipend between 1.900 and 2300 € (fellows from abroad). The Max Planck Society is committed to promoting more handicapped individuals and especially encourages them to apply. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to participate in the research activities at the Institute.

The Center for Quantum Spacetime (CQUeST) invites application for research fellow positions in strings, fields, and related areas.

CQUeST was launched in June 2005 at Sogang University in Seoul with a long term grant from the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation. We welcome applicants who possess exceptional research potential.

The starting date of the appointment is negotiable and can be as early as October 1st 2007. The initial appointment will be for two years with a possibility of renewal for one more year. The annual salary for the research fellow ranges from 20,000,000 won to 30,000,000 won, depending on the qualification (one US dollar is roughly equivalent to 950 Korean won). The first round decision will be made in early September 2007 for the applications received by August 31st 2007.

Two open Phd positions and two open PostDoc positions are available in the group of Applied Mathematics at the University of Kiel. Candidates should have an excellent background in applied mathematics, numerical analysis and/or computational fluid mechanics.

The positions are available on the following projects:
1. Model Adaptivity for Atmospheric Transport Models
2. Simulation of Thermohaline Convection in the Ocean`s Crust with Adaptive Finite Elements
3. Multiscale Methods for Near Surface Vertical Mixing Processes in the Ocean
4. Anisotropic Finite Elements for Fluids

A postdoctoral position is available at the Millennium Nucleus in Plant Cell Biology, Center of Plant Biotechnology, Andres Bello University, Santiago, Chile.

The research interest of the investigators from the Millennium Nucleus in Plant Cell Biology are: Plant Cell Biology using Arabidopsis thaliana as a model system, Fruit Genomics/Proteomics and Bioinformatics.

Pemerintah Rusia membuka kesempatan bagi warga negara Indonesia untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di Rusia dengan beasiswa dari dana Pemerintah Rusia.
