Master and PhD Degree Scholarship by USAID

USAID through the Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) program working in Collaboration with the Academy for Educational Development (AED), opens the opportunity for talented Indonesians to study for Master`s and PhD degrees in the US. The programs are FULLY FUNDED by USAID. The programs offered are:
1. Master`s Degree in Education and Human Development
2. Master`s Degree in Public Health
3. Master`s Degree in Environment Studies
4. Bachelor`s, Master`s or PhD Degrees in Economics
5. Master`s Degree in Public Affairs/Public Policy/Political Science/Public Administration/ Non-Profit Management or related fields.

The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) awards educational grants to women from developing countries whose graduate studies and future plans aim to benefit women and children in their respective regions. Commitment to this goal is an essential selection criterion.

The Fund is staffed mostly by volunteers and is affiliated with the World Bank Family Network. Many World Bank spouses volunteer yearly to raise funds for these grants.

MMMF GRANTS IN THE US AND CANADA

1. Master`s Degree - in Public Health
Master`s (two-year program) in the U.S from a Faculty of Medicine/Public Health with a concentration in:
a. principles of public health and field epidemiology including methods of prevention and eradication of infectious diseases,
b. health system capacity development including human resource and program management, public health information and surveillance systems, health economics, decentralization and governance, quality assurance and behavior change and communication,
c. basic and advanced biostatistics,
d. applied or epidemiological research.

Sampoerna Foundation Overseas MBA Scholarship - 2010 Intake

The Sampoerna Foundation Overseas MBA Scholarship is a means to groom Indonesia`s future business leaders. Sampoerna Foundation provides one (1) scholarship to pursue a Master`s of Business Administration degree at leading university overseas. Upon completing the program, the scholarship recipient is required to return to Indonesia and endeavor to transfer his/ her knowledge to his/ her fellow citizens.

Application deadline is February 1, 2010

Sampoerna Foundation Overseas MBA Scholarship consists of the following options:

FULBRIGHT MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAM

Preference will be given to applicants who serve as faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia. Applicants will possess:

1. a Sarjana (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
2. leadership qualities
3. a good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures a
4. demonstrated commitment to the chosen field of study
5. a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright program
6. a minimum TOEFL score of 550

The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship provides Master’s and Doctoral funding for graduate students from Asia including Indonesia, the Pacific, and the U.S. to participate in educational and research programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i. Through East-West Center affiliation, awardees become part of a growing network of students and alumni forging the shape and substance of the world’s most vibrant region.

Beasiswa program gelar pascasarjana tersedia bagi perorangan yang tertarik untuk mengikuti program-program pendidikan dan penelitian dari East-West Center sambil menempuh studi pascasarjana di University of Hawaii. Beasiswa tersedia untuk program gelar Master (24 bulan) dan Doctoral (48 bulan).
